Feature Request: Stackable Ore

In recent years, retail made ore stackable, which is super convenient - and will encourage people to mine/level blacksmithing/goldsmithing :)

Same for beastmen items! Yagudo necklaces, goblin armor, etc.



Gods, we appreciate everything you do for us and will be grateful regardless of if/when we receive thy bountiful gifts.

Ore was stackable when he started the server, like leather hides and woodworking logs still are now. Icon intentionally disabled ore from being stackable, so I highly doubt he will change it back now 9 months later.

I still don't understand why hides and logs stack and ore doesn't, but it's obviously intentional.

Yeeeaahhh I don't know why they removed ore stacking, it really wasn't hurting anyone. I get that they're trying to be as era as possible, but that's a weird thing to do lol

The ability to hold large amounts of resources without returning to town is something new in FFXI that Northern and myself were not aware of. If we had known about these issues before launching the server we would've made all of the items not stackable. Ore was changed a shortly after the server launch.

because that's how it was in 2005? blame SE's decision from back then, not the server devs lol

It wasn't. Logs and hides did not stack in 2005.

How new, though? I distinctly remember these items stacking when I played retail, and I left in 2007. I only remember them not stacking pre-CoP. (WIth a few exceptions, such as Zinc.)

Having them stack would be in era as far as I can recall.

Leather and lumber have always stacked, but the base mats (i.e. hide, log) did not. They all became stackable at the same time, ores, logs, and hides. I did GSM and Leather both to 100 era and remember it quite well.
